Busy Babies is an Educational Playschool registered as an Early Childhood Development Center (ECD). This is complete with Land Zoning, Fire Department and Health Clearance Certificates. We are monitored by social development. Our age group is 1 -5 years old.

 

Beliefs

Each child deserves to get enough teaching, adult supervision, help and guidance to ensure they can grow and develop to their full academic potential. We believe that a child’s “work” is that which is learned through play. By offering a full structured school, it enables children to grow socially, creatively and educationally in a friendly atmosphere and safe environment. We also believe in maintaining smaller classes and a good staff to child ratio, as this ensures more individual attention given to each child.

 

Activities

Daily activities are as follows

• Monday – Baking day, we try our best to relate the baked item to the theme of the week.
• Tuesday to Friday – Artwork days. These are mini artwork projects done on a daily basis and taken home each day. Artwork is based on the theme of the week.
• Outdoor Play  – There are two garden areas – the paving area where the little ones ride the bikes and the grassy jungle area.
• Free play activities which include:   Bubbles play, Dress Up, Free Play with the educational toys, face painting, drawing time and much more!

We are a small, intimate school that tries to offer more than the usual creche or daycare. Our School is for those parents willing to provide their children with the right balance of “School readiness and fun play” as we offer a full structured day. Our school also offers 3 different age classes so that they can start at the young age of 12 months old and leave when they are ready to go to Grade R – so no school hopping required – which helps create a routine, stable sense of being for each child.
